Dance has been a large part of my life and has inspired my art practice. When I am dancing, I am altering my body motions to create various forms and movements similar to those when I paint. While painting I enjoy listening to and dancing to my favorite songs. I used bright colors to emphasize the excitement and happiness that dance and music bring into my life. By deconstructing and reconstructing the canvas, I explore the movements of myself dancing and painting simultaneously in Twirl and Weave.
