I try to minimize the gap between the viewer and the construction of an object. Often making use of closed forms, my work evokes domestic shelters. My choice of materials centers around the basic elements of our architectural surroundings. I use reclaimed materials that give the piece a default history and implied purpose. The fastening of the components demonstrates the relevance of assembly.
