When viewing the natural world, I remove forms from their context, only observing the shapes that make them and how those shapes are put together. From there, inspiration for each piece takes root, growing into complex fluid forms through my imagination. I build each sculpture slowly and carefully, allowing the placement of each piece of clay to influence the placement of the next, until the final product emerges from my imagination. Between explores the application of this technique in forming solid and fragile structures. Both exhibit the beauty of the natural construction of life.
