There are many ethical ramifications that accompany the practice of selectively breeding organisms within a closed system. One such problem is that new information is rarely introduced into the gene pool, which results in genetic anomalies becoming more pervasive. This piece reflects this issue, as it too was created within a closed system. A mass-produced statuette of a rabbit was selected from a retail chain, and then this object was used as the basis of a new sculpture. This resulting sculpture was then used as the basis for another new piece, and this process was repeated ten times.
