We rely on our bodies as we interact with the world around us. However, the delicate balance that our frames require to function is not possible to maintain indefinitely. Ultimately, our bodies fail us. My goal was to create a piece that could be seen by anyone, despite the ability to see. The braille contains verses from a poem called “Sayings of the Blind” by William Stafford. The text describes the daily thoughts and struggles of living in a visual world without the ability to relate to it.
