My photographic work addresses the image of urbanity and our relationship to the built environment in which we live. The work is constructed from fragments of images that serve as traces of memories seen or imaged. This piece was developed from photographs recently shot in China and South East Asia. The images explore the dichotomy of the contemporary landscape and are intended to record the rapid transformation of the today’s urban fabric. The work attempts to question how these memories and images live in our conscious and unconscious and affect our ways of seeing and perception of reality.
