Oil on canvas, 2015, 34.5"w x 47"h
The subject matter of my work encompasses my interest in textiles, personal history and the exploration of memories. By drawing on these areas, I am striving to preserve the past and reveal memories that have been buried. Although each piece is unique in nature and appearance, there is an underlying thread of thematic unity throughout the body of work by means of color, line and intent. I am commemorating life on a micro and macro scale through the careful creation of these expressionistic paintings in which each stroke, or stitch, holds a world of meaning.
