Life shapes the mind and the body. As I cope with the stresses associated with health, identity and existence, I explore the same topics in my paintings. Through symbolism, paint application and shaped substrates, I grapple with the feelings of life from the mundane to the overwhelming. I explore the different facets of the body, literally and symbolically, as a way of interpreting my own identity as an individual with disabilities.
