In my current work, I explore through text and handweaving the importance of time in our communication acts in order to acquire intimacy and self-knowledge. The choice of this slow way of writing evokes the time necessary to get to know ourselves and to create close relationships with other beings. The ambiguity of the text comes from the use of Spanish, my mother tongue, and my non-native English. It also comes from excluding essential information and showing partial text. All this complicates an immediate comprehension and allows more time for the viewer to analyze the message.
A Daimler Company
Due to the building guidelines that are in place in response to the COVID-19 situation, we are unable to install a new art exhibit in 2020 in our Farmington Hills, Michigan and Fort Worth, Texas offices.
Thankfully, the majority of artists who currently have their work on display in our Michigan and Texas locations have graciously allowed us to continue to do so for another year, through the spring of 2021. We would like to extend a huge thank you to those artists and we look forward to continuing with a new exhibition in the summer of 2021.
