This work came about through an exploration of the art of quilting. I have always had an interest in fiber arts, and quilting is a part of my family history. My great-great-grandmother was an avid quilter, and I grew up surrounded by these beautiful works of art. For me, this piece is very nostalgic and brings up a feeling of warmth and home.
