I found a new way for this material to live on by studying its properties. The common method is to produce uniform pieces then combine them via a new connection. This new mode of production is laser cutting and weaving. These materials have been used by designers many times before. Their sustainability is a kind of problem that designers and artists do not like but cannot avoid. It is a core of design and a problem that designers have to face. I want to stress that the sustainability of design always happens in the process of comparing and copying. Every new attempt is based on the known technologies and methods. Any coincidence has its reason to exist. To copy does not mean simply to plagiarize; sometimes, it is innovation. Philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz said there are no two leaves that are exactly the same in the world.
