2013, Rug canvas, bed linens, steel, 36"w x 60"h x 3"d (each)
By examining the in-between space, the place where memory overlaps with reality, I am searching for the moment in which human experience juxtaposes architectural flatness. Rugs, cots and bed linens—the scale of these wall hangings mirrors the human dimension. Floor plans and interior spaces are codified into the grid, and I struggle to find the space where the viewer is no longer certain whether she is being erased or reinforced.
