The Women and the War
Solitude, loss, fear of death, and being stripped of choice with little to no way around these issues are some of the all too familiar consequences of being involved romantically with a military soldier. This year my work focuses on a minority group of women, all wives, mothers, and girlfriends to special operations soldiers currently serving in a small unit in France known as Commando Hubert. Through portraiture, I aim to uncover solidarity as a reoccurring theme, and stress the tension between presence and distance using military wives as the principal subjects.

Due to the building guidelines that are in place in response to the COVID-19 situation, we are unable to install a new art exhibit in 2020 in our Farmington Hills, Michigan and Fort Worth, Texas offices.
Thankfully, the majority of artists who currently have their work on display in our Michigan and Texas locations have graciously allowed us to continue to do so for another year, through the spring of 2021. We would like to extend a huge thank you to those artists and we look forward to continuing with a new exhibition in the summer of 2021.
