I am interested in patterns emerging from an object or dictated by my hand: how they reflect the making of the object, the material of the object, repetitive marks made by hand or machine-made. In these pieces I use parallel lines to create moire patterns in the small discs. The two slits formed by parallel lines on the large disc are a nod to the double-slit experiment in the study of the wave/particle duality of light in physics.
