By using jewelry techniques and methods in an artistic language infused with lines, spots, shapes and colors, I create a 3-D drawing or composition and implant narratives within. Plastic vacuum-forming packages are used as “molds” or negative spaces that I fill. Filling these spaces, I grab something of their lost notion and create a new assembly that combines all these charged notions to a new whole. The shifting from a negative space to a positive space helps me shift between the different realities—abstract to figurative, reality to fantasy—while flowing within imaginary scenes.
