This painting, The New Normal was created for an exhibition at Gallery 96 in Stratford, Ontario, which focused on the theme of the “Normal School” – the name given to teachers’ training schools. The Gallery 96 was located in the original building of the Normal School. I created a series of paintings and sculptures that were located throughout the building for the duration of the exhibition, based on the theme of the “normal.”
