MFA 2019
Paper-mache and ceramic, 2017, 26"w x 97"h x 9"d
As I claim that everything is connected in some way to the environment in which we live, I often pay much attention to ordinary things and tend to celebrate the little moments. This installation responds to the conditions of quotidian situations by exploring my immediate environment as landscape and as bells. The Bell Installation series aims to intermediate the relationship of humans and nature, questioning and emphasizing our need to slow down and enjoy our surroundings. By mimicking and referencing nature, the work weaves in parallel between the real and fantasy.
