My sculpture is laser-engraved acrylic that is meant to encourage different visual perceptions that are possible in a single piece of art. For this piece I was inspired by Persian calligraphy that speaks to my origin and culture. My goal is to expand the expressive potentials of calligraphy and explore it as a medium that promotes creative impulse. By using a strong central focus in my design, I like to intrigue my viewers to enter the sculpture and experience it from different angles to see the multiple possibilities.
