Boxcar Children explores political, gender, and humanist issues using mediums of paint and photo transfer on wood panel. I use this method to draw attention to the inadequacies of recorded histories and the validity of bias perspectives. Contrasting hyper-realism with abstract backgrounds is a constant theme throughout my work. My use of combined references leaves the viewers to determine their truth and placement within a historical perspective.
