With the Happy Girl series I hope to represent women as confident and happy, each with a unique spirit. I run an open studio where a variety of people come and sit for me. I am inspired by their enthusiasm for the creative process and enjoy their responses to an artist’s interpretation of them. I am currently working on a series of paintings where I am fusing a more abstract style with figuration and portraiture.
