Creation — Destruction — Preservation — Renewal
With a history of 4.5 billion years, the earth provides a solid foundation for insights into the areas of preservation, permanence and longevity in the face of the many radical changes it has undergone. My approach is to call upon the landscape to help investigate nature’s seemingly contradictory actions. I create imaginary landscapes that reinterpret activities taking place on the surface of the planet and reveal glimpses of nature conjuring up new possibilities for life deep within the core of the earth.
